ROBERT M. BALDWIN
BIO
Mr. Baldwin has been practicing law in the field of insurance and bad faith since 1983. He regularly advises clients on insurance claims, insurance coverage, bad faith, and insurance agents' errors and omissions, and frequently provides assistance as personal counsel on potential excess cases, as well as claims-handling opinions. He has handled numerous cases involving substantial exposure, including multi-million matters, and at trial obtained an award worth more than $2 million. Since 1994, he has received the highest possible rating (AV) from Martindale-Hubbell. In 2006, he was listed as one of the Best Lawyers in America in insurance law. In 2007, the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association honored him for the highest standards of competency, ethics, and professionalism. Since 2008, he has been listed as one of the Top Attorneys in Colorado. More recently, he was recognized as part of the Top 1% of attorneys in 2015, was named the Insurance Lawyer of the Year in Denver from Best Lawyers in 2016 and 2019, and was listed as Lawyer of the Year by the Denver Post in 2017 and 2019. Well-respected by his peers and clients, he believes that insurers should keep their promises.

MICHELLE B. CORTES
BIO
Ms. Cortes represented hundreds of clients as a former Colorado public defender, taking to trial misdemeanor criminal cases, DUIs and DUIDs. She was awarded the Melanie Hardaway Memorial Award for Academic Excellence in recognition of graduating in the top 5% of her class and making the overall greatest contribution to the University of Denver Sterm College of Law. She was the recipient of the Public Good Distinction Award, the Daniel S. Hoffman Endowed Scholarship, the Arthur B. Hayutin Endowed Scholarship, the Stephen H. Diamond Memorial Endowed Scholarship, and the University of Denver Crimson & Gold Scholarship. She is a former public school teacher who taught Spanish in rural Southern communities where her husband served as a Marine Corps Officer.
